With the pandemic nonetheless a looming presence, many enterprise associations have confronted solely two actual choices in the case of holding occasions: cancel them or go digital. The Nice Lakes Bay Area Advert Membership found a inventive third choice: Host a drive-in occasion.
“I believe all of us have ‘Zoom Fatigue,’” defined Membership President, Kristen Wuerfel. “Our membership is a close-knit group of promoting professionals and our awards present — The American Promoting Federation’s American Promoting Awards — is the end result of the season. We wished a solution to safely meet and have a good time all the good work and achievements of our members.”
With this in thoughts, the membership organized the state’s (and perhaps the nation’s) first and solely drive-in occasion this previous Friday night on the Midland Heart for the Arts. Following all COVID security protocols, the membership welcomed members to view the proceedings on a big film display from the protection of their automobiles. The membership even supplied movie-themed goodie bins for the occasion. It was an amazing success.
“We had a fantastic turnout,” states Wuerfel. “Plus, our entries for the present had been the best they’ve been in six years.”
The membership obtained 122 entries from advertising and marketing companies and advert professionals and college students from throughout the Nice Lakes Bay Area and as far north as Traverse Metropolis. Prime winners embrace:
