BLOOMINGTON — Dianne Lore Williamson, 80 of Bloomington, handed away at 5:14 p.m., Friday, October 16, 2020 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Heart, Bloomington together with her husband and daughters by her facet.
Dianne was born August 11, 1940 in Bridgeton, NJ, the daughter of Charles M. and Elizabeth “Betty” Lore Smith. She married Douglas Williamson on November 5, 1966 in Bloomington. He survives.
Additionally surviving are two daughters, Mary (Steve) Tucker of Champaign and Tami (Dave) Foley of Bloomington; six grandchildren, Dustin, Jessica and Kaily Grazar, Gavin Foley, Tyler Tucker and Allie Tucker; and two great-grandchildren, Arabella and Braelyn Grazar. Her particular bond together with her grandchildren led every of them to imagine that they have been her favourite.
She was preceded in dying by her dad and mom and a brother, Terry Smith.
Dianne was a 1962 graduate of Illinois Wesleyan College, majoring in Theatre. She served as writer/editor of Bloomington-Regular Journal, was copywriter for WJBC/WBNQ Radio and retired from Illinois State College as Occasions Coordinator.
Dianne was honored because the League of Ladies Voters of McLean County as “Leaguer of the 12 months,” was McLean County United Approach “Volunteer of the 12 months” and was a Ladies of Distinction Nominee. Dianne’s actual love was the YWCA the place she was on the Board of Administrators and later the Basis Board. She served on the Board of Administrators for the League of Ladies Voters of McLean County and was Fundraiser Chair for a few years.
